Applications opened yesterday for The 2010 Fashion Fringe Competition. Along with the announcement that world famous designer John Galliano is going to be adding his expertise into the mix, by joining the judgement panel as Chair for this year and next year’s competition.
The concept of Fashion Fringe was created in 2003 by Colin McDowell MBE in partnership with IMG Fashion and the challenge for 2010’s applicants is to reinvent the sense of adventure in London fashion. According to the press release from Fashion Fringe this year they are “looking for cutting edge, iconoclastic talent in design and creativity to continue the tradition of Vivienne Westwood, Hussein Chalayan and the late Alexander McQueen.”
The closing date for applications is 30th April 2010 and finalists can expect to be notified in late May. We can’t wait to see what this years fresh new talent has to offer!
