In 2009 we saw the rise of modern style icons such as Lady Gaga, Leigh Lezark and a whole bunch of celebuspawn it-girls. However, as we’ve not only entered a new year but also a new decade, we’ve listed the new(er) faces and budding style icons that make us excited about the coming fashion year.
The T4 presenter has been hailed as “the next Alexa Chung” and we’re loving her fashion choices as well as her dark and mysterious vibe. Let’s enjoy her style and hope she doesn’t get as overexposed in 2010 as her precursor has been for the past few years.
2009 was the year Dakota went from cute tween to blood sucking vamp, and she’s already been on the cover of Teen Vogue and Elle. That’s pretty impressive for a 15 year-old and she’s growing up to become quite the stylish little lady.
Marina (of Marina and the Diamonds)
If you don’t know who Marina is yet you must have been in a coma so far this year. Her voice is husky and her style is a mix of quirky prints, 80s vintage and East London rock’n’roll pieces. Trust us when we say you’ll see a lot more of this one in the year to come.
When Pixie reached no. 1 last summer with ‘Mama Do’ we’d often see her out wearing cute blazers, hippie head bands and sequin dresses. Boy, has she grown up since then! We’ll let this picture of her from an event last month speak for itself.
Georgia May Jagger
When Georgia May rocked up at the British Fashion Awards last month in this Vivienne Westwood get-up we all said a collective “Wow!”. She’s the most exciting model at the moment and the fact that she had borrowed that dress from her sister Elizabeth make us love her even more!
