Street Style Sunday

Check out these fashionistas spotted out and about in brick lane this week who we couldn’t resist stopping and complimenting on their outfits. Great to see people still managing to look fabulous whilst keeping cosy on a cold november day!

New B-side by Walé website

Our partners in crime on the menswear side, B-side by Walé, has launch a new site, complete with an online shop and cool videos! So if you’re looking for a Christmas present for your boyfriend/partner(/dad?) it’s the perfect place to get that gift!

We <3 Schuh

We went along to Schuh’s press day yesterday and got completely taken over by shoe cravings! Their gold and black knee-high gladiator sandals were a definite highlight, and we can definitely see ourselves rocking those red indian-style sandals on the beach next summer! Good thing some of them come out in only a few weeks time, because some of these shoes will be a nice complement to our FashAddict party outfits this X-mas season…

Company Mag Party at Kanaloa

Monday night, Company magazine held a reader party at hip new club, Kanaloa. Kanaloa comes from the founders of top celeb haunt, Mahiki, and notorious party girl Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud. It has the same Polynesian type feel of Mahiki, and specialises in rum, boasting over 140 types behind the bar.

The party goers were greeted with a jigsaw puzzle piece to use as a token for a free cocktail (which was house drink, the ‘Kanaloa Kula’- pure lemony sugary goodness!) along with the cutest bite-size cupcakes with frothy green icing.

George Michael’s ‘Faith’ and Princes ‘Kiss’ blasted while the barmen (in appropriate, cheesy Hawaiian shirts!) downed some sneaky shots behind the bar. Appearance seemed to be everything at this club, a huge amount of effort had gone into the décor as well as the presentation of each cocktail. Even the toilet doors were labelled ‘hunks’ and ‘honeys.’ Speaking of the loos, there was an OPI nail bar in the ladies handing out free manicures to a long line of excited girls. Here’s a few snaps..

Fashion Targets Breast Cancer

The Fashionistas of  London rarely need an excuse to throw a party… but partying hard for a truly great cause is a rarity that occurred on the 11th November at Camden Proud Galleries.  Pearl Lowe acted as the hostess with the mostess in honour of the charity Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.  Live performances by Sophie Ellis Bextor and indie newcomers The Cheek paved the way for dj sets from model and designer Ben Grimes and members of Razorlight that had us all up dancing.

Great cause, great music and of course great fashion!

Launch of Odin Fragrances

Tuesday night, Odin, a New York based retailer, celebrated the launch of its new fragrances at an intimate gathering in Greenwich Village’s Hotel Griffou. Larry Paul and Kelly Kovak of Purpose-Built and Paul Birardi and Eddy Chai of Odin worked together for over a year to provide us with their finest results; a wonderful collection of three distict, unisex fragrances. Labelled 01, 02 and 03, they symbolize the progression of travel from wandering, to destination and enrichment. Exotic, yet traditional scents taken from places like the Himalayan and Chinese mountains, these berries, woods and musks are combined for the perfect modern creation.

Face Hunter-the man behind the lense

Face Hunter is a blog by “a man out and about in london and beyond: eye candy for the style hungry”  and has become one of the most well known and fashion forward blogs of the moment. Yvan Rodic travels the world, taking his canon camera everywhere he goes, on the hunt for stylish people to photograph.  In an interview with Dazed Digital, you can read about where he thinks are the most fashionable places and his opinion of fellow bloggers like The Sartorialist and 13 year old Tavi.

Here are some photos we liked from Face Hunter’s blog…
