Okay, so Jeremy Scott’s Flintstones inspired S/S 10 show has got us thinking…and us lot here at FashAddict have come to a decision; we want a piece of Betty and Wilma’s style! And what better way to than get wild with a splash of animal print?!
Back when I was a little girl oop north, leopard print meant just one thing; Bette Lynch (right) pulling pints at The Rovers on Coronation Street! Eee by gum, how times have changed… as Rihanna demonstrates, showing us that these spots can look young, sexy and bang on trend!
Leopard can look a bit brash, but you can avoid the ‘Bette’ effect by sticking to a sleek and sophisticated look. We love our Duke & Duchess ‘Efra’ jacket (above centre) because it looks the part as a straight tailored tux, but rolling the sleeves up will tell everyone you have a wild side!
Okay, so leopard print can look brash… but maybe that’s not such a bad thing?! Make like an 80’s rocker and don some dayglo leopard print denim (a la Fearne Cotton, above right) and you’ll soon have no regrets about embracing some questionable taste! It’s all about displaying your inner punk goddess (what do you want to bet that Cotton was imagining she was channeling Debbie Harry that day?)…
Get a piece of the punk look, without damaging any innocent bystanders retinas, with our To Love Kuvaa ‘Amy’ cardi – perfect with skinny jeans and converse for day and over a 50’s pin up dress by night!
Black and white is always in fashion, which makes zebras the chicest beasts on the plain. We’ve taken our hats off to the zebra with our Duke & Duchess ‘Marcelle’ dress (now available in Topshop Oxford St!) – which also boasts some sexy studs at the pockets and neckline. The Duke & Duchess ‘Julie’ jacket also has a touch of the monochrome mammal about it – although no one need know until you roll up those sleeves!
Last but not least comes our favourite fashion beast; the tiger! Lady Gaga loves the stripey feline and if you do too, Duke & Duchess’ gorgeously silky ‘Macy’ top will leave you burning bright! It’s available in the Maga and Pye Brick Lane boutique now.
